MGM has released its first image and the voice cast for its upcoming CG animated take on The Addams Family.
The film is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2019 and will feature the voice talents of Charlize Theron (Morticia), Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Bette Midler (Grandmama),  Chloë Grace Moretz (Wednesday), Finn Wolfhard (Pugsley), Nick Kroll (Uncle Fester) and Allison Janney as the Addams’ arch nemesis Margaux Needler.
According to Deadline, the new animated feature film will follow the Addams family as they face-off against a crafty reality-TV host voiced by Janney while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration.
The film will be co-directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan and created by Cinesite Studios in collaboration with MGM. Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride, Monster House) wrote the new screenplay based on the original cartoons by Charles Addams, with revisions by Matt Lieberman.
