“Evil Dead: The Game” is packed with content that spans the lifetime of the franchise starting with the original “The Evil Dead” from 1981 all the way up to the STARZ original series “Ash vs Evil Dead.” On Thursday, one more chapter from the “Evil Dead” franchise found its home in the game; 2013’s “Evil Dead.”
Directed by Fede Álvarez, the film served as a reimagining of Sam Raimi’s original while still technically fitting into the franchise timeline. The film stars Jane Levy as Mia Allen, a recovering heroin addict who meets her brother David and a group of friends at a secluded cabin during recovery. Like the original film, a mysterious book is found, somebody reads from it, and then all hell breaks loose.
Both Mia and David join “Evil Dead: The Game” in this latest update and are playable as survivors. The update also includes a new single-player mission and two new weapons: the nail gun and the syringe.
