2016 has been a hell of a year. Â From the Star Wars Universe, we lost both R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher.) Â It took Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) and the original Willy Wonka (Gene Wylder.) Â From the music world, we lost Lemmy, David Bowie and Prince. Â On top of it all we had one of the most toxic election years in recent memory and who can forget the numerous creepy clown sightings? Â It was a year that was so awful it has become the inspiration for a new horror movie trailer from the folks at Friend Dog Studios.
Simply called 2016: The Movie, the trailer kicks off with a fun, friendly celebratory end to 2015 and what follows is a two-minute reminder of just how awful 2016 has been.
Here’s to hoping we all make it through the rest of 2016 and that 2017 has something better in store for us all.
