Famous Games has announced the April release of “Blight Night,” a new retro horror-inspired action game coming to Steam in April 2025.
Set in 1986, “Blight Night” is a single-player, third-person action-adventure horror game with visuals filtered through VHS tape. The game challenges players to solve the mysteries of Golden Springs and survive the flesh-craving monsters that call it home.
Sonny Barstow stands alone in a decrepit town. He packs a handful of supplies, and only a basic idea of what is happening. With few and far between residents, Barstow must navigate a world in collapse and the evil inhabiting it. The only way to survive is to get out there, face those lurking in the shadows, and uncover a mystery he’s not supposed to understand.
Adding to the 80s vibe of the game is an immersive soundtrack featuring seedy synth and haunting ambience.
“Blight Night” is a solo development project by Nick Duttweiler. A true passion project that has been in development for eight years, it features classic gameplay inspired by titans of the survival-horror genre.
“Blight Night” is available to Wishlist now on Steam, with a full release this April.
