A Group of Broadway Stars Are Coming Together for a Virtual ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Halloween Benefit Concert


The Actors Fund and the Lymphoma Research Foundation will be hosting a one-night-only Halloween benefit concert presentation of the songs from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The evening will be presented by Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart, in cooperation with Tim Burton, Danny Elfman and Disney Music Group as some of Broadway’s most talented artists perform their interpretations of of songs from the film.

James Monroe Iglehart, who dazzled audiences as the Genie in his Tony Award-winning performance in Disney Theatrical’s Aladdin, and his Broadway friends, using only items and clothing found around their house combined with their imaginations, will bring this delightful evening of music, storytelling and Halloween fun to life.

The cast includes Rafael Casal (Blindspotting, Bad Education) as Jack, Adrienne Warren (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Shuffle Along, Bring It On: The Musical) as Sally, James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton, Memphis) as Oogie Boogie, Danny Burstein (Moulin Rouge!, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof) as Santa, Nik Walker (Ain’t Too Proud, Hamilton, Motown The Musical) as Lock, Lesli Margherita (Dames at Sea, Matilda, EmojiLand) as Shock, Rob McClure (Chaplin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Beetlejuice) as Barrel, and more.

“We are extremely grateful to Tim Burton, Danny Elfman and the Disney Music Group for allowing us the opportunity to bring our virtual concert interpretation of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to everyone this Halloween,” said James Monroe Iglehart.

The virtual performance is a pay-per-view event that will be available to stream for 24 hours on Vimeo beginning Saturday, October 31 at 7 PM ET. Tickets are just $4.99 and can be purchased through the Vimeo event page. All proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund and Lymphoma Research Foundation.
