It’s the end of the year, which means Google is slowly releasing details around the search trends from 2018 and today Google released details around the most searched movies, TV, music, and sports.
According to Google, here are the top searched Thriller/Horror films sought out in 2018:
- A Quiet Place
- Hereditary
- The Nun
- The First Purge
- Winchester
- Annihilation
- Slender Man
- Truth or Dare
- Superfly
- Searching
Of the top ten movies searched in the U.S. specifically, only A Quiet Place, Hereditary, and The Nun made it into the top 10 at positions five, nine, and 10 respectively.
In the television category “The Haunting of Hill House” and “Castle Rock” represented horror among the top 10 searched television shows in 2018, with “The Haunting of Hill House” coming in at number two behind “Altered Carbon.”
