Tim League and Ant Timpson, the producers behind The ABC’s of Death, have launched a crowdfunding campaign for a new horror anthology titled “The Field Guide to Evil.”
The new anthology will tap eight filmmakers from around the globe, to create a short based on a myth, lore, or folk tale from their native country.  Each film will then be stitched together to create the complete feature, The Field Guide to Evil.  The directors were hand picked by League and Timpson and are believed to be the perfect fit for this new project.  Including, Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy), Peter Strickland (The Duke of Burgundy), Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure), Katrin Gebbe (Nothing Bad Can Happen), Can Evrenol (Baskin), Calvin Reeder (The Rambler), Ashim Ahluwalia (Miss Lovely), and Yannis Veslemes (Norway).
For The Field Guide to Evil, the filmmakers are taking a different approach to crowdfunding and instead of just offering backers the chance at a shirt, or a copy of the film, they are providing the opportunity for backers to actually be a producer and investor in the film and share in the backend profits from the film.
If funded, the provided timelines suggests the film would wrap in late 2017 and premiere sometime in 2018. Â For more details on funding, the film and the expected timeline you can visit the Microventures page for the film.
