AMC Networks is touting the return of its “Best Christmas Ever” programming event with a month-long celebration of the holidays. While the holiday season isn’t our usual fare here at All Hallows Geek, there are a few highlights worth noting for horror fans.
Spooky Yule Logs
AMC Networks has announced two new Yule Logs for the 2024 Holiday season, and both are born of the network’s most spooky shows: “The Walking Dead” and “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches.” Starting on December 1, fans of these shows can virtually fire up the Yule Log on AMC+ with the arrival of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches Yule Log” and “The Walking Dead Cruel Log.” Each themed Yule Log experience will surely bring a unique twist to this long-standing tradition, helping to liven up your holiday celebrations.
A Creature Was Stirring
December 1 also marks the Shudder debut of the 2023 holiday horror, “A Creature Was Stirring.” Chrissy Metz (“This Is Us”) stars as a mother who keeps her troubled teenage daughter on a tightly controlled but illicit pill regimen in order to ward off a terrifying affliction. But after a Christmas burglary, their family secret may finally be exposed. The film also stars Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s “Halloween”) and Annalise Basso (“Captain Fantastic”).
Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage
Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl will get into the holiday spirit on December 13 with “Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage.” Snow is falling, and the bodies are piling up in this holiday horror double-feature, which will air live on Shudder and AMC+ on December 13. “Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage” will be made available for on-demand viewing beginning December 15.
