On Friday as part of its celebration of Disney+ Day, the second anniversary of the streaming platform, Disney+ announced an animated “Marvel Zombies” series.
The animated series from Marvel Studios reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge. This isn’t the first time Disney+ has borrowed from the popular Marvel comics zombie spinoff. In season one of its “What If…?” series, Marvel Studios explored a “what if…?” scenario where members of the Avengers are infected by a zombie plague, forcing those who survived the infection to find a cure.
The new “Marvel Zombies” animated series will be directed by executive producer Bryan Andrews.
