‘Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches’ Gets Official Trailer Following Record-Breaking ‘Interview with the Vampire’ Premiere

When AMC first acquired the works of Anne Rice back in 2020, it was clear the network had plans to build an expansive universe, much like they have done with “The Walking Dead.” Nabbing rights to both “The Vampire Chronicles” and the “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” series meant they already had connective tissue to work with since the two already had connected story arcs.

On October 2, AMC premiered its first series adapted from the acquisition, “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire.” The series premiere was a stellar performer on AMC+, AMC, and with critics and fans, making it the #1 new drama on ad-supported cable in 2022. On AMC+, the series premiere now ranks as the #1 new series launch ever in both viewership and acquisition, and on AMC, 1.2 million viewers watched the premiere.

After a highly successful launch of “Interview with the Vampire,” AMC has given fans a taste of its next series from the Anne Rice universe with the official trailer for “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches,” which is set to debut on AMC+ on January 5. Based on Anne Rice’s “Lives of the Mayfair Witches,” “Mayfair Witches” is an exploration of female power and the mortal implications of our decisions. “Mayfair Witches” focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon (Alexandra Daddario) who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.

Rounding out the series cast are Jack Huston, Tongayi Chirisa, and Harry Hamlin. The series will stream exclusively on AMC+ starting Thursday, January 5, 2023, with the first two episodes available that night. Subsequent episodes will roll out weekly. Check out the official trailer below:
