Apple kicked off the new year by releasing six celebrity-narrated audiobooks via the recently revamped Apple Books app (formerly iBooks). Among the six classic novels is Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” read by podcaster and author Aaron Mahnke.
The reading of “Frankenstein” by Mahnke, who is famous for his popular podcast series turned book and television series “Lore,” clocks in at about 8 hours and 11 minutes and as Apple points out in the book description, Mahnke “knows a thing or two about scary stories.”
iPhone and iPad users looking for a new audiobook can download “Frankenstein” on iTunes. Other books in the free celebrity read series of books include “The Secret Garden,” “The Time Machine,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” and “Winnie the Pooh.”
