Hot Topic and Fan Factory have teamed up to launch a Universal Monsters Fan Art Contest. The contest, which runs through August 10, 2018 is looking for original design submissions inspired by the world of Universal Monsters: Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Bride of Frankenstein, The WolfMan, The Mummy, The Invisible Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
The contest is being judged by two members of the Hot Topic Men’s Apparel team, Joe Enriquez Senior Buyer of Men’s Licensed Apparel and Mercedes Escobedo Buyer for Men’s Apparel and “Crash” McCreery an entertainment veteran who has worked in makeup effects and character design for the past 24 years working for high profile directors like Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Tim Burton and M. Night Shyamalan. Fans will also have the chance to vote for their favorite designs by selecting the designs they would most like to buy and wear. The grand prize includes $2,000 and if the design is used on merchandise, a separate agreement will be made with the artist, independent of the contest.
