Last week I shared that Starbucks had finally announced the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL). The coffee chain will debut the fall favorite tomorrow, the earliest release in the drink’s history. But CNBC is reporting that in addition to the popular PSL, Starbucks is introducing its first new pumpkin flavored drink since the PSL was introduced back in 2003.
As part of its fall menu offerings, Starbucks will now offer the pumpkin cream cold brew, which CNBC reports “is less sweet and has a stronger coffee taste than a pumpkin spice latte.” As a fan of cold brew that’s not a huge fan of the pumpkin spice flavors, I’m intrigued. And since we’re still experiencing 90 degree plus days here in SoCal a colder fall beverage might just be the thing to get me feeling that fall spirit even if I’m still dying in the summer heat.
The new pumpkin cream cold brew will debut tomorrow along with the pumpkin spice latte and the rest of Starbucks’ fall menu. Are you excited about the addition of a new pumpkin flavored drink on the Starbucks menu, or are you a PSL purist who finds this to be fall coffee blasphemy?
