Batman & Scooby-Doo Teaming Up in New DC Comic Book Series

DC has announced an all-new all-ages comic book series, “Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries.”

The new series will be part of DC’s Digital First Library and will team the Dark Knight with Scooby-Doo and the rest of Mystery, Inc. The new series will launch its first of 24 digital chapters on Saturday, March 27, 2021. The digital issues will then be collected into 12 print issues, with the first hitting local comic shops on April 13.

In the kick-off story, Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #1, “Glove Story,” by Ivan Cohen and Dario Brizuela, Batman discovers his original purple gloves have gone missing. Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo travel back in time to Batman’s Year One era to solve the case!

Then, in Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #2, “Going Bats, writer Sholly Fisch and artist Randy Elliott have Scooby-Doo and Batman team up to solve the mystery of a ghost…who’s haunting the Batcave! In classic Scooby-Doo fashion, this phantom turns out to be a phony, which means Batman and the gang need to figure out how someone got into the Batcave—and does that mean Batman’s enemies have cracked the secret of his true identity? The digital chapters of “Going Bats” will be released on April 24, with the print issues released on May 11.
