Blumhouse is partnering with AMC Theatres to bring five Blumhouse favorites back to the big screen for what they’re calling the Halfway to Halloween Film Festival.

Blumhouse’s first-ever Halfway to Halloween Film Festival will bring back a different Blumhouse film exclusively to AMC Theatres each night from March 29 through April 2. Returning to theaters for the event are “Split,” (3/29) “The Purge,” (3/30) “Ouija: Origin of Evil,” (3/31) “Insidious,” (4/1) and 2020’s “The Invisible Man” (4/2).

Split

From writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan, “Split” was initially released in 2016 and is an original thriller that delves into the mysterious recesses of one man’s fractured, gifted mind. Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), one remains submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him – as well as everyone around him – as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.

The Purge

2013’s “The Purge” was the start of one of Blumhouse’s most popular franchises. In it, Blumhouse explores the question, “If on one night every year, you could commit any crime without facing consequences, what would you do?” The speculative thriller follows one family over the course of a single night as they fight to survive The Purge, an annual event where all crime in the U.S. is legal for 12 hours. The film spawned four sequels, a television series, and even some Halloween Horror Nights attractions.

Ouija: Origin of Evil

The follow-up to 2014’s “Ouija,” “Ouija: Origin of Evil,” invites audiences again into the lore of the spirit board. In 1965 Los Angeles, a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their séance scam business and unwittingly invite authentic evil into their home. When the merciless spirit overtakes the youngest daughter, this small family confronts unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.

Insidious

Originally released in 2011, “Insidious” is the terrifying story of a family who, shortly after moving, discovers that dark spirits have possessed their home and that their son has inexplicably fallen into a coma. Trying to escape the haunting and save their son, they move again, only to realize that it was not their house that was haunted. The film made way for four sequels, including 2023’s “Insidious: The Red Door,” which reunited the original film’s cast to conclude the franchise.

The Invisible Man

Inspired by the classic Universal Monster, 2020’s “The Invisible Man” stars Elisabeth Moss as Cecilia, a woman trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, who escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister, their childhood friend, and his teenage daughter. But when Cecilia’s abusive ex commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turn lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

Tickets for each film are just $8, and Blumhouse is promising giveaways and surprises at each screening that fans won’t want to miss. Visit amctheatres.com to find a participating theater near you and to buy tickets.
