“Speak No Evil” follows an American family who, after befriending a British couple with a mute son, accept an unusual invitation to bring their daughter for a weekend at an idyllic country estate. Yet when they discover their hosts are hiding sinister motives, Ben and Louise fear their family may be pawns in a disturbing plot. James McAvoy leads the film as the charismatic host whose untrammeled hospitality masks an unspeakable darkness that turns the family’s dream holiday into an unnerving nightmare.

Rounding out the film’s cast are Aisling Franciosi (“Game of Thrones”), Mackenzie Davis (“Terminator: Dark Fate”), Scoot McNairy (“Argo”), Alix West Lefler (“The Good Nurse”), and newcomer Dan Hough (“Hollyoaks”).

The film was written and directed by James Watkins (“Eden Lake”) and is based on the screenplay of the 2022 Danish horror “Gรฆsterne,” written by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup.
