BOOM! Studios has announced a new one-shot comic book “Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Chosen Ones” that will dive deeper into the history of the Slayers and the origins of the Hellmouth.
The new comic will introduce readers to three past slayers who until now had only been seen on variant covers of the new Buffy The Vampire Slayer comic series.
A story from writer Mairghread Scott and artist Ornella Savarese will tell of a young woman in 18th century California who discovers she’s the Chosen One and will change the course of Slayer history forever. The story will also reveal the hidden origins of the Hellmouth.
A story from writer and artist Celia Lowenthal will bring to life the 14th century Italian Slayer featured on the variant cover of Buffy The Vampire Slayer #2
“Buffy might be the Slayer you know best, but she’s not the only incredible woman to be a Chosen One—and you’re getting the first appearance of three new Slayers in this issue, as well as the never-before-seen origins of the Sunnydale Hellmouth!” said Jeanine Schaefer, Executive Editor, BOOM!
