A couple of weeks back Mountain Dew dropped a teaser for their Super Bowl LIV ad promoting their new Mountain Dew Zero, which had some serious The Shining vibes.. Today, the soft drink maker released the full add and sure enough, it goes full The Shining with the help of actors Bryan Cranston and Tracee Ellis Ross.
In the ad, Cranston plays Jack Torrance, but rather than wanting to bash Wendy’s brains in, he simply wants her to try Mountain Dew Zero.
What I love most about this ad is how many iconic scenes from the film it captures all featuring Mountain Dew. Be sure to watch the whole ad, as there’s an amusing scene at the very end.
