‘CAPTURED 2’ Announced, Arriving Later This Year

On Friday, developer Puck Redflix announced the sequel to its 2024 anomaly-hunting horror game “CAPTURED.”

Inspired by analog and found-footage horror movies such asย “Skinamarink,” liminal spaces, and early 2000s supernatural horror, “CAPTURED 2” expands on the first game’s world but features a brand-new standalone story.

In it, players take on the role of Emily, a teenage girl who goes missing during a series of unexplained disappearances, who finds herself trapped in an endless hallway within her apartment, slowly losing her memory. Strange anomalies begin to appear, and by capturing them, players can catch a glimpse of Emily’s forgotten past.

Deadly entities, taking the form of Emily’s childhood toys, roam the loops to stop her from uncovering the truth. Use your flashlight, camera, and the doors around you to survive each entity’s unique mechanics.

Players will be immersed in the horror of the procedurally generated hallway through realistic analog-looking graphics with a ’90s VHS aesthetic, a unique camera system, and an immersive flashlight movement that adapts to your mouse’s speed and movements.

“CAPTURED 2” is available to Wishlist now on Steam and is slated to arrive in Q4 of this year.
