Last fall, Cassandra Peterson, AKA Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, released her official Memoir, “Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark.” The 304-page hardback book was an instant bestseller and gained even further notoriety when folks discovered that the book revealed that Peterson had been in a same-sex relationship for nearly two decades. This week, Peterson announced that a paperback edition of the book will be released this October.
The paperback version of the book features all-new cover art and will hit bookstores on October 4, 2022. However, Peterson has teamed up with a handful of indie booksellers to release a special edition of the paperback that features an alternate jacket, which will be available exclusively through pre-order for a limited time. The alternate jacket features wraparound cover art with Elvira, Mistress of the Dark in various poses and is only available through Warwick’s, Green Apple Books, University Book Store, and Brookline Booksmith.
Yours Cruelly, Elvira is an unforgettably wild memoir. Cassandra doesn’t shy away from revealing exactly who she is and how she overcame seemingly insurmountable odds.
