Castle Park in Riverside, CA, is gearing up to transform itself into Castle Dark on select nights this Halloween season. Now in its 15th year, the amusement park will feature five all-new haunted experiences, including the Cinema of Fear and Night Shift mazes, Shipwreck Cove and Slider Alley interactive shows, plus Haunted Highway, the park’s first-ever Halloween ride makeover.
Haunted Highway
For 2023 Castle Park is giving its iconic Antique Cars ride a Halloween makeover for the Halloween season. Enjoy the thrill of a lifetime driving through a pumpkin patch cemetery. This Halloween, take the scenic route…if you dare.
The Cinema of Fear
This all-new maze experience takes you inside an abandoned theater with terrifying films and actors who escaped them. Step into the all-new Cinema of Fear experience to see if you have what it takes.
Night Shift
Night Shift is an all-new interactive experience where you are the main character. You take on the role of a new security guard who has to investigate the strange happenings at a warehouse where the toys are acting up, and something’s invaded the facility, and it’s your job to find out who’s responsible for the mayhem.
Shipwreck Cove
Shipwreck Cove is home to Captain Eris and her cursed crew. Will you survive the shrieks of deadly pirates, sirens, and mysterious creatures that live in the depths of the sea?
Slider Alley
And finally, Saw Mill Country will be home to Slider Alley, where undead cowboys slide in for a slash at Castle Dark.
Of course, those who visit Castle Dark will also have the opportunity to ride the park’s year-round spooky attraction, Ghost Blasters II. Ghost Blasters II is a spooky-themed dark ride where guests can blast ghosts and ghouls as they make their way through a spooky castle.
Castle Dark will also feature several seasonal treats, including special funnel cakes, vampire bites, and one of my favorites from last year, a delicious fruit juice blood bag.
Castle Dark will be open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights starting September 22 through October 29, 2023.
