Castlevania Season 3 Is Already in the Works While We Wait on Season 2

Netflix's Castlevania

It’s been nearly a year since the Netflix Original Series Castlevania debuted.  The animated take on the iconic video game series kicked off last July as a four-part season and was instantly picked up for a eight-part second season on the day it was released.  That was really the last we heard of season two and yet while we wait for an official release date of the second season, a third season is apparently already in the works.

Richard Armitage, who voices the character Trevor Belmont in the series told Digital Spy in an interview that despite a lack of season two they are already getting ready to do the voice recordings for season three.   “The second season hasn’t been aired yet, but we’re about to do a third,” revealed Armitage in his interview.

Armitage also shared some insight into what we can expect when the second season does air.  “The son of Dracula and my character get much more collaborative,” he told Digital Spy. “I think that’s one of the most exciting things, they start to really work together.”

According to a tweet from the show’s screenwriter from earlier this year, the second season of Castlevania is scheduled to be released sometime this summer, however, we’re a month away from last year’s release date and there is still no official word from Netflix on an actual release date, nor have they officially announced a season three.
