Celebrate Roger Corman’s Birthday with Marathon’s from Shout! Factory and The Film Detective

Shout! Factory and The Film Detective have both announced marathons to celebrate the 94th birthday of film legend Roger Corman.

Shout! Factory will be hosting a special 48-hour Roger Corman Birthday Marathon starting at midnight on April 4 and continuing through April 5, on Corman’s actual birthday.

The two-day marathon will give fans the chance to revisit 15 Corman classics and catch the Shout! Factory TV series “Cult-Tastic: Tales From The Trenches With Roger And Julie Corman,” which they premiered last year.

The marathon kicks off Saturday with the lineup of “Cult-Tastic,” Deathsport, Crazy Mama, Saturday The 14th, Chopping Mall, Munchie, Sorceress, The Wasp Woman, and Attack of the Crab Monsters.

The celebration continues on Sunday with more “Cult-Tastic,” Deathstalker II, Avalanche, Pit Stop, Warlords of the 21st Century, Starcrash, Nightfall, and Eat My Dust!, and ends with an encore presentation of Deathstalker II.

For fans of Corman’s older works, media streaming network and film archive The Film Detective (TFD) is planning to celebrate Corman’s birthday by airing a “Roger Cor-Marathon” on April 5.

The marathon will air from 3:30 PM ET – Midnight and will feature Corman classics like A Bucket of Blood (1959), and The Little Shop of Horrors (1960). Fans will also be able to enjoy exclusive commentary on Corman’s classics from director Joe Dante and Roger Corman himself in Trailers from Hell videos, which will be available through the TFD app.

The Shout! Factory Roger Corman Birthday Marathon will be available through ShoutFactoryTV.com, STIRR, Twitch, Samsung TV Plus, Comcast Infinity and XUMO or through the Shout! Factory TV apps on Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and Roku.

TFD’s “Roger Cor-Marathon” will be available live through their channel on Sling, STIRR, and DistroTV. For more information on how and where to watch visit thefilmdetective.com.
