Co-op Horror ‘Jester: A Foolish Ritual’ Announced

Belgian Indie game developers Fire Foot Studios have announced their latest project, “Jester: A Foolish Ritual.”

The co-op horror game is set in the dungeons of a medieval castle. In it, players take on the role of one of four knights resurrected in a cursed castle, and their only hope of escape is to uncover hidden runes, complete the ritual, and break the wicked curse of the Jester who haunts the castle’s halls.

Each run will be different, and players must adapt as they venture through the cursed castle in search of the runes to perform the ritual. With each item you pick up, the Jester will become increasingly more aggressive, because he knows you are one step closer to ending the ritual. Along the way, players must watch out for lingering traps and jack-in-the-boxes that, if triggered, will send the Jester after them.

Players can take on the Jester solo or as a team of up to four players via online co-op. The game uses proximity voice chat, and while communication is key, beware that the Jester doesn’t hear you. Stay together for safety, or split up to search faster, but don’t wander off too far, or you’ll find yourself lost and alone in the halls of the cursed castle.

“Jester: A Foolish Ritual” will be released on Steam first, with the release date to be announced later.
