Team17 and RocketBrush Studio have announced dark fantasy action RPG “The Unliving” will launch into Steam Early Access on October 31, 2022. “The Unliving” brings together an unholy alliance of rogue-lite and real-time strategy gameplay to the genre, creating a unique experience that places players in command of their very own army as a powerful necromancer.
In “The Unliving,” players command an ever-growing and sinister horde of undead. Grow your army by reincarnating fallen foes into obedient undead minions or sacrifice members of your undead legions to release powerful spells during battle.
As you venture through a world procedurally generated from a selection of hand-drawn pixel art levels, you’ll face grueling bosses, each with its own fighting style and abilities, requiring strategic gameplay to win. Lose the battle and death is only the beginning; with each failed attempt, the Necromancer returns ever stronger, with new knowledge and skills, and a rekindled desire to bring down his fury on the living.
Ahead of its launch into Early Access later this year, “The Unliving” is now available to Wishlist on Steam.
