Comparison Trailer Shows Off How Faithfully Gun has Recreated Locations from ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ for Its Upcoming Game

On Friday, a new comparison trailer was shared by IGN that showcases how faithful the locations in the upcoming “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” video game will be to the original 1974 film.

The 47-second trailer showcases iconic locations that will instantly be recognizable to fans of the film. In the video’s description, IGN shared the following from the game’s developers:

“We’ve made a focused effort to ensure that what our players see is the closest representation possible to what Tobe Hooper and Kim Henkel brought to viewers on the big screen, and then we expand upon the world in a way that honors and builds on what already exists. We are giving our players the experience of what it would be like for them to step into the shoes of one of the Slaughter family or their victims and see how they would fare in horrifying situations that are every bit as compelling and entertaining a story as what happened to Sally and her friends in the original film.”

“The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” is a new 3v4 asymmetrical horror experience that tells the story of a group of college students who come in contact with the Slaughter family prior to the events in the 1974 film. Players will play out the events as either one of the five victims or as a member of the Slaughter family, which will be comprised of known characters like Leatherface and new family members yet to be announced.
