‘Devil May Cry’ Picked Up for a Second Season at Netflix

Netflix has announced that its “Devil May Cry” anime series, which premiered on the streaming platform on April 3, has been renewed for a second season.

The series, which is based on the popular Capcom action-adventure video game of the same name, follows Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, who finds himself in the middle of a demon invasion headed by a sinister demon who seeks revenge on the human race.

The series stars Johnny Yong Bosch (“Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War”) as Dante, along with Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” franchise), Hoon Lee (“Warrior”), Kevin Conroy, and
Chris Coppola (“Beowulf”).

No other details about the second season were announced, but showrunner and executive producer of the series Adi Shankar said, “Get hyped.” With the series officially renewed for a second season, there’s even more to look forward to.”

Season 1 of “Devil May Cry” is available to stream now, exclusively on Netflix.
