On Monday, Disney Parks announced the return of their #HalfwaytoHalloween celebration. Started in 2020, #HalfwaytoHalloween is a celebration of all things Halloween that in years past have included recipes, park announcements, product announcements, digital downloads, and more. This year, Disney is celebrating #HalfwaytoHalloween all week long, promising “wickedly wonderful surprises” each day leading up to the event on Thursday, April 28, 2022.
“The first of a cauldron full of #HalfwaytoHalloween surprises will materialize later this morning from the kitchens of Disney Parks. We’re unearthing some dreadfully delicious Halloween-inspired eats and treats at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. And then, less than 24 hours later, we’ll be digging up another early must-see treat with a hauntingly helpful Halloween-themed At-Home Planning Guide.”
The fun will continue on Wednesday, April 27, when Disney Parks releases a new Disney Halloween-inspired digital wallpaper created for the event. Wednesday night, @DisneyParks will host a Twitter Watch Party for a fan-favorite Halloween film on Disney+. While the actual title wasn’t announced, Disney Parks alluded to it being “Hocus Pocus.” The Twitter Watch Party will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
During the #HalfwaytoHalloween celebration on Thursday, April 28, Disney Parks is expected to provide sneak peeks, and a “Hocus Pocus” Sanderson Sisters-inspired look. Thursday will also feature a first-of-its-kind @DisneyParks TikTok Live beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, where Disney will stream some #HalfwaytoHalloween surprises from multiple Disney Parks as well as the Disney Cruise Line.
