Last week Disneyland Resort announced the return of Halloween Time at the resort. With it, the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday, the “The Nightmare Before Christmas” inspired overlay to the popular Disneyland attraction The Haunted Mansion. 2021’s makeover will mark the 20th season of the popular attraction reimagining. To celebrate another staple of the holiday attraction, its gingerbread house, will take inspiration from the houses created over the last 19 years.
The massive gingerbread house is an annual tradition created by a group of upwards of 12 resort pastry chefs who amass a giant gingerbread house constructed out of real gingerbread in the mansion’s Grand Hall. This year the team will pay homage to all of the previous houses created to create a “Franken-house” that stitches together all of their favorite elements from the past 19 houses. Check out the image below shared by the resort showing how each year’s house is represented and view along with a list of all of the house themes from years past.
