Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Egan Escape Productions have joined forces to bring fans a second installment of the highly successful escape room experience, Escape IT, which opened in early 2023. This time, the experience is inspired by New Line Cinema’s “IT Chapter Two,” the terrifying sequel to 2017’s “IT.”
Located off Symphony Parkway and Martin Luther King Blvd. in Las Vegas, fans of the films will immediately recognize significant landmarks from the movies to welcome them to the town of Derry. Spanning more than 30,000 square feet, Escape IT Chapter Two continues to revolutionize the traditional escape room experience, offering fans a multi-room escape adventure that brings to life the hit film. Featuring rooms inspired by the Jade of the Orient restaurant, the Derry Canal Days Midway, and Pennywise’s lair, this extraordinary attraction boasts more than 16 interactive rooms, incorporating cutting-edge special effects, lighting, animatronics, and live actors to craft an utterly immersive and spine-chilling encounter.
This thrilling experience reimagines iconic scenes from the second film, with various “easter eggs” and nods to the first film and first escape experience. The lobby area is also home to a multitude of props from the actual set, such as the bikes the children rode in the film and the letter from Stanley featured at the end of the film, as well as the authentic Pennywise costume.
In addition to the escape experiences, Escape IT Chapter Two includes carnival-style midway games and a full-scale “IT” themed retail store complete with photo ops and exclusive custom merchandise.

Ahead of the official opening of Esape IT Chapter Two, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Egan Escape Productions were kind enough to invite me out to experience both “IT” themed experiences, and I must say, calling these an escape room almost feels like an insult. While yes, there is a puzzle element like your traditional escape room, this is more of an immersive experience with puzzle elements.
These escape rooms take you into the world of the “IT” films and make you part of the story. Each set is highly detailed and features incredible lighting and special effects to enhance your experience. You’ll also interact with several live actors along the way who help you along your journey. While unique to the Escape It storyline, each character is just as much part of the experience as the sets and puzzles you must work through, often heightening the fear factor or the urgency of trying to find a way out.
Of course, no Escape IT experience would be complete without Pennywise, and his presence is felt throughout the experience. Whether you see him or not, you know he is looming, and he’ll be sure to make his presence known when you least expect it or if you feel the need to lag when moving from one room to another.
While I don’t want to ruin any surprises, I can tell you that Escape IT Chapter Two has done an incredible job at bringing to life two iconic scenes from the “IT” sequel as part of the experience. Both Escape IT and Escape IT Chapter Two have some incredible finales that fans of these films will want to experience.
That said, you don’t have to be a fan of the films or have even seen the movies to appreciate this experience. While, yes, you’re probably going to appreciate the sets, interactions, and storyline more if you’ve seen the “IT” films, you don’t need to be an expert on the films to solve the puzzles, meaning even a casual fan can be part of your group and take part in the experience and not feel left out.
