Discovery’s “Expedition Unknown” spinoff “Expedition X,” which investigates supernatural encounters, mysterious creatures, and astonishing extraterrestrial phenomena, is set to make its season 5 return later this month.
“Expedition X” will return on May 25, 2022, at 9 pm ET as part of the “Adventure Wednesday” lineup on Discovery, which features a three-hour block devoted to exploring the unknown, uncovering the world’s greatest mysteries, and sharing a laugh with explorer Josh Gates.
The all-new season kicks off in the world’s notorious Ring of Fire, where scientist Phil Torres and paranormal researcher Jessica Chobot investigate videos and eyewitness reports of mysterious objects flying around Mexico’s tallest active volcano. Then, Jess and Phil test a bold scientific theory at the site of America’s deadliest avalanche and train wreck, where witnesses report bizarre apparitions, and rumors swirl of a shocking cover up. The upcoming season will take Phil and Jess from icy whitewater rapids in Alaska to the impenetrable jungles of Peru to uncover the truth behind the world’s most unusual mysteries.
