A week or so ago, I shared a new Fanta flavor inspired by “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” that had surfaced as a product on Instacart. The AI haters came out in droves, alluding to the product being fake, so much so that they triggered Instagram’s automated AI flag feature. Needless to say, it wasn’t AI, and on Thursday, Fanta officially announced an exclusive collection of products, including the limited-edition Beetlejuice flavor.
Fanta is summoning Beetlejuice with his own Limited-Edition Fanta Beetlejuice flavor, with the packaging showcasing the titular character himself, played by Michael Keaton. Initial images of the product showed the new flavor as apple. But maybe Fanta read the comments section of my post and opted to change it, as the product now reads as being “Beetlejuice” flavored on the iconic black-and-white striped design.
The full Fanta flavor range will receive limited-time makeovers featuring the “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” characters, including Orange – Astrid (played by Jenna Ortega), Strawberry – Lydia Deetz (played by Winona Ryder), Pineapple – Delia Deetz (played by Catherine O’Hara), as well as Grape – Delores (played by Monica Bellucci), Lemon – Wolf Jackson (played by Willem Dafoe) and Strawberry Kiwi – Bob (the Shrinker!) Available flavors will vary by market, but each product features a QR code that can be scanned for access to exclusive physical and digital experiences, including the chance to win tickets to catch the new movie “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” in cinemas.
The Fanta “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will be available beginning August 12 in over 50 markets across the globe.
