First Teaser Arrives for Blumhouse LGBTQIA+ Summer Slasher ‘They/Them’

Earlier this year we learned that streaming service Peacock would be the home of the new Blumhouse-produced original film “They/Them” and on Wednesday we got our first teaser from the film.

Pronounced “They-slash-Them,” the film is created, written, and directed by three-time Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan (“Skyfall”). In it, a group of LGBTQ+ campers arrives at Whistler Camp – a conversion camp run by Owen Whistler (Kevin Bacon) – they are promised a “new sense of freedom” by the end of the week. But as the counselors attempt to psychologically break down each of the campers, a mysterious killer starts claiming victims, and they must reclaim their power if they’re going to survive the horrors of the camp.

The film, which is being positioned as an empowering slasher film, stars an ensemble cast that includes Anna Chlumsky (“Inventing Anna”), Theo Germaine (“The Politician”), Carrie Preston (“Claws”), Quei Tann (“How to Get Away with Murder”), Austin Crute (“Booksmart”), Monique Kim (“High Expectasians”), Anna Lore (“All American”), Cooper Koch (“Less Than Zero”), and Darwin del Fabro (“Dangerous Liaisons”).

“They/Them” arrives on Peacock on August 5.
