Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the teaser trailer for the next installment in the “Ghostbusters” franchise, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.”
The follow-up to 2021’s “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” returns the franchise to New York City and the iconic Ghostbusters firehouse, where the original Ghostbusters have set up a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters, new and old, must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
The sequel features an all-star cast of Ghostbusters, new and old, that includes Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Bill Murray.
“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” is currently in production and does not have an official release date yet. However, the film is expected to arrive sometime in early 2024.
