FMV Psychological Horror Game ‘Hello Stranger’ Coming to PC in May

Aviary Studios has announced a new full-motion video (FMV) psychological horror-thriller game titled “Hello Stranger,” which is slated to arrive on PC via Steam in May 2025.

Written and directed by Paul Raschid (“The Complex”), “Hello Stranger” tells the chilling story of Cam, a man who conducts life exclusively from his smart homeโ€”work, shopping, entertainment, and, most notably, socializing, which he does through the Hello Stranger platform, a randomized video chatting app.

During a random chat session, Cam encounters a masked stranger with an altered voice. Unnerved, Cam leaves the call only to find the Stranger has hacked his smart home and locked him in. The Stranger then forces Cam to play three games to survive. His life hangs in the balance as you play these games and make choices that will ultimately determine his fate.

The game features a stellar cast of acting talent that includes George Blagden (“Vikings”), Danny Griffin (“Fate: The Winx Saga”), Christina Wolfe (“The Ark”), Kulvinder Ghir (“Foundation”), Laura Whitmore (“Queenie”), Yasmin Finney (“Heartstopper”), and Derek Jacobi (“Gladiator”).

The game also boasts over four hours of filmed content featuring choice-based mechanics and numerous mini-games. There are 10 possible endings, all needing to be found for players to unearth the full story of Cam’s dark world, making the game’s replayability extremely high.

“Hello Stranger” was selected for the prestigious Dinard Film Festival 2024, where it was screened as a group gameplay event to a sold-out audience. It was also part of the Red Sea Film Festival 2024. The game will launch in May for PC via Steam for $9.99 and is available to wishlist now.
