June is Pride Month, the monthlong celebration in honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, which was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. The month also recognizes the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. In honor of the celebration, horror apparel maker Fright-Rags and horror magazine FANGORIA have teamed up to release their third annual Pride shirt.
In past years the sales of the Pride tees raised money for AIDS/LifeCycle and Transform Cincy, and this year 100% of the profits will go toward Trans Lifeline. Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis. You can read more about their work at translifeline.org.
Pre-orders for the shirts are open now on Fright-Rags.com, and will be available for one week only, with pre-orders ending on Tuesday, June 8 at 11:59 PM EDT. This year there are three shirts available. A unisex Pride Month tee, a women’s Pride Month tee and a Pride Month rainbow tie-dye tee. Unfortunately, the Pride Month rainbow tie-dye tee was limited to an edition size of 200 and has already sold out as of the time of this writing.
Also, as a reminder, All Hallows Geek has recently teamed up with FANGORIA as an affiliate. If you’re looking to save on a Fango subscription, check out my FANGORIA merch unboxing article to find out how!
