Yesterday I shared that Funko was moving ahead with its WonderCon releases despite the actual convention being postponed due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The items will be available as part of a virtual con which will take place April 10-12. Today, Funko unveiled another series of releases, including two new Funko Soda cans featuring the General Mills monster cereal characters Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy.
Funko Soda is one of the newest lines from Funko that was unveiled earlier this year at London Toy Fair. The product is not an actual beverage but does come in a soda can featuring some of your favorite Funko characters. Funko has already released Funko Soda featuring Count Chocula and Franken Berry.
Like the previous Monster Cereal releases, the new Funko Soda characters will come in their traditional color schemes, but will also have chase variants in the color schemes of other Monster Cereal characters. The Fruit Brute chase uses Franken Berry colors and the Yummy Mummy chase comes in Fruit Brute colors.
Both Funko Soda’s will be shared exclusives with the Funko Shop and will be available for purchase during Funko’s virtual con event. More details on how to participate and purchase are set to be released ahead of the event.
