I first mentioned the upcoming game “Funko Fusion” when Funko unleashed a recent wave of Halloween and Horror Pop! releases that included Pop! figures of R.J. MacReady from “The Thing” and a battle-damaged M3GAN as tie-ins to the game. On Monday, 10:10 Games, in collaboration with Funko and Universal Products & Experiences, announced digital pre-orders for the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
The fandom-filled extravaganza powered by Funko stars some of the biggest characters and franchises in pop culture, including “Jurassic World,” “Back to the Future,” “The Thing,” “Chucky,” and more. Many other titles, including “Jaws,” make their first “Funko Fusion” appearances in newly revealed screenshots.
Fans who pre-order the digital release of “Funko Fusion” on any platform will receive a The Walking Dead-themed DLC pack at launch for no additional cost, containing two bonus playable characters from Skybound’s award-winning “The Walking Dead” comic books—Rick Grimes and Michonne—each with an additional Variant Outfit.
Steam players can look forward to even more fan-favorite characters joining the mix with the “Team Fortress 2” character pack. This free, Steam-exclusive bonus brings Heavy, Scout, Medic, and Engineer from the beloved multiplayer shooter to Funko Fusion as playable characters.
In addition to digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, physical console editions from physical distribution partner Skybound Games are also available to pre-order now. The physical edition for Nintendo Switch launches on November 15.
Funko Fusion will launch on September 13, 2024.
