FX Invites Fans to Experience the World of ‘Alien: Earth’ with Immersive Experience at SXSW

FX’s highly anticipated series, “Alien: Earth,” will kick off a series of immersive experiences inspired by the series at this year’s SXSW. On March 7-8, 2025, fans can step into a mysterious wreckage site in the heart of Austin to unearth new details from the series, exclusive merch, and photo opportunities. The experience will be the first of three that will pop up in the months leading up to the Summer 2025 series premiere.

From the moment fans step inside, they will find interactive elements and pulse-pounding thrills that bring the series to life. Visitors will be scanned for alien parasites before receiving credentials and instructions, embarking them on an exploratory mission through the ship wreckage, where they will have the chance to get up close and personal with alien specimens. But bewareโ€”not all creatures survived the crash intact. A containment breach has occurred, and hidden dangers lurk within.

FX’s “Alien: Earth” at SXSW will be open to SXSW badge holders and the public on Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, from 2:30 to 10:00 PM.

Based on the “Alien” franchise, “Alien: Earth” is set in 2120 and follows a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers who, after a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.

Lead by Sydney Chandler (“Don’t Worry Darling”), the series showcases an expansive international cast which includes Alex Lawther (“The End of the F***ing World”), Timothy Olyphant (“Justified”), Essie Davis (“The Babadook”), Samuel Blenkin (“Black Mirror”), Babou Ceesay (“Free Fire”), David Rysdahl (“No Exit”), Adrian Edmondson (“Bancroft”), Adarsh Gourav (“The White Tiger”), Jonathan Ajayi (“5lbs of Pressure”), Erana James (“The Wilds”), Lily Newmark (“Solo: A Star Wars Story”), Diem Camille (“Alex Rider”), and Moe Bar-El (“the Bureau”).

“Alien: Earth,” an all-new original series, premieres this Summer on Hulu and with Hulu On Disney+.
