Halloween ComicFest, the comic book industry’s premiere Halloween event, hasn’t quite looked the same since the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020 the event ditched comics for collectibles; in 2021, the event was canceled altogether; this year, Halloween Comicfest has announced the event will be a virtual one.
While early details around this year’s event are limited, Halloween Comicfest has shared that the event is being held online to make it as accessible to as many fans as possible. The event will span the month of October and will feature access to digital comics, interviews with creators, cosplayer profiles, and more. No further details have been shared, but Halloween Comicfest shared that they plan to share more news and updates on the event in the coming months.
Halloween ComicFest is the comic book industry’s premiere fall event. Historically held on the last Saturday in October, participating comic book shops across North America and around the world would give away specially published comic books free to anyone who visits their shops.
