On Monday, Focus Features unleashed its first trailer for Robert Eggers’ retelling of “Nosferatu,” and if there’s one thing that’s clear from the trailer, it’s that “He’s coming.” And he’s arriving in theaters on Christmas Day 2024.
Written and directed by Eggers, “Nosferatu” is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake. The film stars Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Hutter, the subject of the vampire’s obsession, playing opposite Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd as the iconic vampire Nosferatu. Rounding out the cast is Nicholas Hoult (“Renfield”), Lily-Rose Depp (“The Idol”), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Nocturnal Animals”), Emma Corrin (“Lady Chatterley’s Lover”), Ralph Ineson (“The Green Night”), Simon McBurney (“Carnival Row”), and Willem Dafoe (“The Lighthouse”).
“Nosferatu” is slated to arrive exclusively in theaters on December 25.
