Heinz Releases Tomato Blood Ketchup for Halloween

As long as there has been ketchup, there’s probably been someone using it in some way, shape, or form as “blood.” This Halloween, Heinz is capitalizing on the idea by unleashing Heinz Tomato Blood Ketchup at national grocery stores, opening the first-ever Heinz Halloween Store, and making it easy to design the perfect costume with the new Heinz Tomato Blood Costume Kit.

Heinz Tomato Blood Ketchup is a creepy new condiment available at grocery stores nationwide and on HeinzHalloween.com through October. You have to ask yourself though, is it Tomato Blood Ketchup because it’s supposed to be “blood,” or is it Tomato Blood Ketchup, as in the blood of the tomatoes?

Heinz is also opening its first-ever pop-up Heinz Halloween Store. Opening on October 21 in Los Angeles, ketchup fanatics are invited to visit the store at Santa Monica Place, where they can purchase Heinz Halloween merch and start creating their costume using Heinz Tomato Blood Ketchup at the store’s interactive “drip stations.”

And if you can’t make it to the event in person, Heinz will also be livestreaming the Halloween Store experience using Firework, a new technology that allows influencers to stream to all social platforms simultaneously.

And finally, for those looking to make their 2021 Halloween costume a little saucier, Heinz has released a Heinz Tomato Blood Costume Kit, which includes Heinz Tomato Blood Ketchup, face paint, tattoos, vampire fangs, applicators, and more. The kits are on sale now for $19.99 at HeinzHalloween.com, while supplies last.

Need a costume to add your ketchup to? Heinz has eight different costumes available on the site ranging from Bloody Pirate to Bloody Corpse Bride.

“There are few nights more magical than Halloween and for years Heinz has helped people make memories by helping them transform into the spookiest versions of themselves,” said Ashleigh Gibson, Brand Director, Heinz. “We believe that if you have Heinz, you have a costume! This Halloween is no different and we’re looking forward to seeing the deliciously spooky looks people come up with using Heinz Tomato Blood Ketchup.”

Halloween fans across the country can join in on the delicious fun by sharing their costumes on social using #HeinzHalloween and tagging Heinz on Instagram (@heinz) and Twitter (@HeinzTweets).
