Later this summer, the General Mills Monster Cereals will return to store shelves. While you’ll have your usual Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry choices this year, General Mills is introducing the first new character to the cereal lineup in 35 years.
The new character, which also happens to be the first-ever female Monster and General Mills’ first female cereal mascot, is named Carmella Creeper. Breaking from the classic monster mold, Carmella is a zombie and the long-lost cousin of Franken Berry. Fitting for fall, the new Monster cereal is caramel apple flavored.
More than a zombie, Carmella is portrayed as a young DJ, and for 2023 she’s putting a fresh spin on last year’s Monster Mash cereal with Monster Mash remix. The new mashup joins Carmella Creeper cereal pieces with berry-flavored cereal pieces from Boo Berry cereal with the monster marshmallows from Fruit Brute, Count Chocula, and Fruity Yummy Mummy.
All five General Mills Monster Cereals varieties should be arriving on store shelves next month.
