Heretic Parfum and ‘Nosferatu’ Team Up for Frightful New Fragrance

Heretic Parfum is celebrating the release of Robert Eggers’ highly anticipated film, “Nosferatu,” which arrives in theaters this Christmas, with the release of a limited-edition scent.

Inspired by the film, the custom scent, also titled Nosferatu, is a collaboration between Focus Features and perfumer Douglas Little. Through viewing the film, historical research, and time period understanding, Little was able to bring the essence of Nosferatu into a fragrance while exploring the question: What does a vampire smell like?

Meant to transport the wearer to the dark spaces inhabited by the film’s Count Orlok, the perfume opens with top notes of lilac and ambrette seed that fall into a heart chord of violet, orris root, and petrichor. The mysterious dry-down is woven around vegan ambergris and Oud absolute.

Heretic Parfumโ€™s Nosferatu

Described as cold, pale, and pellucid, the fragrance evokes the uneasy chill of encountering an apparition.

The cap of each 30ml bottle is engraved with Count Orlok’s sigil and comes packaged in an exquisite black coffret complete with printed fragrance notes and inspiration.

This limited-edition release from Heretic Parfum will be available starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 31, at HereticParfum.com for $125.

From Focus Features, Robbert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” arrives on Christmas Day 2024. The film is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.

“Nosferatu” stars Bill Skarsgรฅrd, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe.
