In today’s WTF? Halloween news, we’ve learned that Hidden Valley Ranch has released treat-sized packets of its popular ranch topping and dressing for Halloween.
The new half-ounce pouches of ranch are shaped like little bottles of Hidden Valley Ranch and come in a Halloween-themed bag of 30. The thinking behind the new treat is that pizza is a popular food choice on Halloween night, and by giving out packets of ranch on Halloween, trick or treaters can go home and add ranch to their pizza or other favorite Halloween treat.
And to go with the new Halloween treat, Hidden Valley Ranch has also released a pair of new Halloween costumes. Ranch fans have been DIY-ing Hidden Valley Ranch costumes for years, but now they can dress up in an official Hidden Valley Ranch Costume. And to double the fun, those looking for the perfect couple’s or BFF ensemble can grab the official Pizza Costume to dress up as everyone’s favorite dipping duo.
“Halloween is one of the top pizza delivery nights of the year, which means Halloween and pizza go together as well as Hidden Valley Ranch and pizza,” says Nadine Katkhouda, Associate Director at Hidden Valley Ranch. “It’s the ideal occasion to not only enjoy the most delicious duo of ranch and pizza, but to become it.”
On a personal note, I’m a huge fan of ranch, but am I this crazy about ranch? I don’t think so. I personally think getting a packet of ranch in my Halloween candy as a kid would have been just slightly better than getting pennies. And if you think this is all just a joke, I assure you it’s not.
