Here in SoCal we’ve been fortunate enough to have Jack Skellington decking the halls of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland for the last 17 years. Each year the Pumpkin King takes over the home of 999 happy haunts to create Haunted Mansion Holiday, a special Nightmare Before Christmas overlay of the classic attraction which runs through both the Halloween and Christmas seasons at the park. The only other park with this experience is Tokyo Disneyland, but this year Hong Kong is getting an all-new Nightmare Before Christmas themed walkthrough attraction for Halloween called “Jack’s Journey to HalloweenTown.”
The new experience will transform the park’s Pavilion into HalloweenTown and transport guests magically into scenes from the popular stop-motion animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas. The below teaser video for Hong Kong’s Halloween offerings features concept art that suggests guests will experience the pivotal scene where Jack introduces the concept of Christmas to the residents of HalloweenTown, witness Sally’s poisoning of Dr. Finklestein, and even come face to face with HalloweenTown baddy Oogie Boogie.
Disney Halloween Time is taking place at Hong Kong Disneyland from September 13 – October 31, 2018.
