After a long and arduous development, Jandusoft’s new first-person horror escape room experience, “Scholar’s Mate,” is now available for PC via the Steam store.
In “Scholar’s Mate,” players take on the role of Judith, a young woman who wakes up in an abandoned psychiatric hospital after being kidnapped by a sinister maniac named Eddie. Locked in and being hunted, players must work to solve a series of complex puzzles to try to escape the terrifying facility while trying not to alert the killer.
Eddie is a relentless enemy with only one goal: to end Judith’s life. He can hear you as well as see you. If you run or shine your flashlight, you risk giving away your location and being found.
“We have put all our efforts into creating a terrifying experience within the escape room genre,” shared Jandusoft in a press release. “With well-thought-out puzzles and a lethal enemy that won’t stop looking for you all over the hospital.”
“Scholar’s Mate” is available for PC now for $12.49 via Steam. Console versions of the game, which were also supposed to launch today, have been delayed but will soon arrive on both PlayStation and Xbox.
