On Tuesday, A24 released the official trailer for its upcoming psychological horror film, “Heretic.” The film is slated for a November 15, 2024, release.
Written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who co-wrote 2018’s “A Quiet Place” with John Krasinski, “Heretic” tells of two young missionaries forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed, becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.
The film stars Hugh Grant as the charismatic yet terrifying Mr. Reed, with Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”) and Chloe East (“The Fabelmans”) as the young missionaries.
The trailer shows us how the two girls find themselves in the company of Mr. Reed before giving us a glimpse into the horrors that await them now that they are trapped in the man’s home. Check out the new trailer below:
