When the first In Search of Darkness was released there were three Collector’s Editions made available; In Search of Darkness Corey Taylor Collector’s Edition, In Search of Darkness Dead Meat Collector’s Edition, and In Search of Darkness Elvira Collector’s Edition. Each collector’s edition came with an exclusive intro featuring the personalities tied to the edition as well as in between segments where the personalities would talk about their favorite horror films of each year. With the release of In Search of Darkness: Part II it appears that Creator VC is expanding on this and releasing at least 11 different collector’s versions.
I first became aware of the new collector’s editions when I was notified that there would again be an Elvira Collector’s Edition since I had purchased this version of the first film. In looking into it further I accidentally stumbled upon a page that unveiled 10 other collectors editions of the upcoming film. At the time of this writing these are all of the collector’s editions I found available for In Search of Darkness: Part II:
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Elvira Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Cinemassacre Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Brandon Tenold Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Linnea Quigley Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Oliver Harper Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Kane Hodder Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Chris Jericho Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Good Bad Flicks Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Corey Taylor Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Bill Moseley Collector’s Edition
- In Search of Darkness: Part II, Fright-Rags Collector’s Edition
Each collector’s edition comes with everything revealed in the In Search of Darkness: Part II pre-order announcement and some edition exclusives. The collector’s editions come with an exclusive mini-documentary featuring the horror personality tied to the edition and an exclusive poster featuring the cover art from that particular edition. The Fright-Rags Collector’s Edition does not feature a mini-documentary; however, it does come with an exclusive Fright-Rags t-shirt featuring the Fright-Rags Collector’s Edition artwork.
Each Collector’s Edition is $79.99 except for the Fright-Rags Collector’s Edition, which is $84.99, likely due to the inclusion of the shirt. Each of the Collector’s Editions are available for pre-order now at the links provided above.
*Updated to include link to Corey Taylor edition and remove previous mention that the link was not available at the time of writing.
