Sony Pictures Entertainment has debuted a new trailer for “28 Years Later,” the highly anticipated new film set in the world of “28 Days Later,” from director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland.
Nearly three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have not only mutated the infected but also other survivors.
The latest trailer gives an intense look at the horrors beyond the small island and the humans and infected that inhabit it.
“28 Years Later” stars Jodie Comer (“The Last Duel”), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Nosferatu”), Jack O’Connell (“Rogue Heroes”), Alfie Williams (“His Dark Materials”), and Ralph Fiennes (“Conclave”). The film is slated to arrive exclusively in theaters on June 20, 2025.
“28 Years Later” is produced by Andrew Macdonald, โโโโโPeter Rice, โโโโโBernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, and Alex Garland. Cillian Murphy is Executive Producer.
